Depending on their priority dates, many applicants may find that their application dates have not progressed as quickly as anticipated, with some even facing retrogression.

Processing Times and Expectations

For our Filipino applicants, it is realistic to expect a total processing time from application submission to visa issuance to range from 16 to 26 months under favourable circumstances, though delays may occur. This timeline encompasses essential steps such as labour certification, I-140 petition approval, and consular processing. Processing times can vary significantly based on factors such as workload, changes in immigration policy, and the specifics of individual cases.

Legislative Developments

Ongoing discussions in Congress regarding immigration reform could potentially impact the EB-3 visa category. While there is a growing interest in addressing the backlog for employment-based visas, any substantial changes will require legislative action.
